G r a n d i o s e l y S i m p l e

I devised two lists this week. You may choose to agree. You may choose to disagree.
It just IS or ISN'T M u s e e.

All things NOT M u s e e:

- Sparkly shoes
- Tacky sequins
- Patterned wedges - will NEVER understand
- Latex dresses
- Hot pink on anything (A controversial topic)
- Chipped nail polish
- LITERAL HIGH heels - Why would you wear shoes you can't walk in?
- THE MUFFIN TOP! - Loosen your jeans woman!
- Sport shoes with Denim - no.

All things M u s e e:

- French Lace (except for when combined with tacky minis)
- Pastel Colours (Pink, Teal, Mint and so on..)
- Black and White
- Pointy shoes - So chic
- Classical small/thin heels
- Ballet flats
- A tassel here or there?
- COATS
- Some classy boobage - It does exist.
- The gown split
- EVERYTHING vintage
- All things Knit.

And interestingly enough, these juxtapositions come down to one thing: Simplicity. You can be simple and chicclassysuave at the same time. Bows, Lace, Tassels, Colours and yes even Sequins can be aesthetically pleasing. To showcase this I have put together a couple of shoes I love with a couple of our outfits!

For those who are interested in the brands above shoot us an email at museeboutique@gmail.com. For those interested in the M u s e e garments we matched, visit www.museeboutique.com.

Grandiosely Simple - A very POSSIBLE phenomenon!

Over and out,

no es amor

Musee has been a tad obsessed lately. My love for the internet has never been more apparent. Such an obsession has replaced sleepingeatingexercising with all things vintagejewelleryandblog. Most people stalk other people on Facebook. Others expand their horizons with youtube. Me: Facebook stalking businesses, entrepreneurs and associated experts. On the hunt for items that match the Musee clothing line: A clever pretext.

I have hence dedicated this post in the wee hours of the morning, to all things contributing to my insomnia. There are three of them and I truly can't stay away. Note to selfreadersandeveryoneelse: All three of these people are ahem women of course.

Sydney Fashion-Blogger

This woman never ceases to amaze me. Not only does she sport the most amazing clothing, attend the most fabulous events and have 9,000 plus followers in Sydney, the crux of her photography is taken from the elevator on her way to work: an urban genius.

Musee has since become obsessed with what SFB does on a daily basis and what watchjewelleryshoeslipstickcolournailpolishbags she is showcasing next.

Red-I by Chelsea

It's like Chelsea knew. It's like she knew that I was on the hunt for the best pearl necklace and Grecian pendant I could find - AND MADE IT. I'm on a mission to buy these pieces, create a shrine, and display - do not touch. This is the beginning of something dangerous.

The first "twist of fate bridal" - (Freshwater Pearls intertwined with glass and potato pearls) is one of my favourites. This piece looks amazing with the S o p h i a tunic. The navy and pearl comparison: Marie Antoinette meets chic.

Grecian, agate and green. Three of my favourite items in one piece. "Caribbean Athena" brings out the simplicity and sophistication in C l a r i s s a perfectly. An archaic yet urban combination!

A talented and inspiring entrepreneur!

Mademoiselle Meese

Mademoiselle Meese AKA Donyel is a bigger, better, perhaps more literate, fellow blogger. Her concepts - genius. Reading up on a post about clutches - you'll jump through recipe's - and end up in a fashion experiment.

You have no idea which way you will enter or exit - and it will never be from the same portal. I have thus religiously been reading up on her posts, ignoring the fact that it's 5am and the world begins in an hour or so.

These three very interesting things have seemed to engulf the life of Musee in the past 24 hours.

To engulf yourself with a similar obsession take a look through:

I wish I was a French Chic

If I could do it all again - I would be French. When I hear the language I cringe with envy. French people are always on time. French children are inherently born with table manners. And don't even think about eating unless the hostess has said: "bon appetit". The way a French person communicates is often predicated by their social status, education level and which part of the country they were raised in... It doesn't get more cultured than that! Except for when it comes to French Dress Etiquette.

French women are understated yet stylish. They embellish soft colours and ensure that rich shades maintain class. A generalisation - I think not. They thrive in any scarf situation. And the beret... well that's self-explanatory. France is love. And I am in love with France.

So call me bias but everytime I look at the E l p i n i k i knit - I think of France...

E l p i n i k i is ironically not a French name and instead represents the class, sophistication and humility I see in one of my friends. The black and white stripes, the intricacy of the knit as well as the opportunity to wear E l p i n i k i off one shoulder - as French as it gets!

The black and white French stripe is a timeless concept...

It can be Cute like Aria from PLL, Sexy like Lopez/Kardashian and classy like Milian. Here are a few ways to style E l p i n i k i:

SEDUISANTE: The black and white stripe with sex appeal...

Asos completes this look with the scallop hem mini as the hem creates a certain sexy-ness to the knit. The simple mix singlet doesn't overshadow the black and white stripes of E l p i n i k i and the weave clutch adds a certain femininity to the piece. However a whole new suave is created with one of my favourites: the 'Cheap Monday' hole bracelet - an awesome addition. Restricting this look to black and white: both sexy and understated - pure French!

The goods

Skirt: Asos Mini with scallop hem
Top: Asos mix singlet
Bag: Asos weave metal clutch bag
Bracelet: Cheap Metal hole bracelet
Jumper: Musee Boutique E l p i n i k i knit

SOPHISTIQUE: The black and white stripe with sophistication...

The French are also renowned for their grandiosity and what better way to be grandiose than with a Michael Kors watch complimented by a River Island twist lock tote bag. Both items creating a certain sophistication to E l p i n i k i. To finalise the piece, Vivienne Westwood for Melissa ultragirl flats are so rich girl meets urban chic. A classic and sophisticated look.

The goods

Bag: River Island twist lock tote bag
Watch: Michael Kors
Flats: Vivienne Westwood for Melissa ultragirl

MIGNONNE: The cute black and white stripe...

There's no need to match E l p i n i k i to the tee - proven with this mignonne look. The Asos longer scoop singlet once again doesn't overshadow the black and white French stripe and perfect for a half-cover of the warehouse shorts - an adorable combination as you let the black and white stripes bag over. The 'Cheap Monday' dimension bracelet as well as the Oasis Bergamo shopper bag are perfect additions for that lazy day at the shopping centre, beach and casual BBQ. Cute is the new black.

DRAME: The bold and dramatic black and white stripe...

There's no better way to make a statement than with orange. These attention-grabbing Sergio Rossi heels as well as the J.J Winters envelope clutch compliments E l p i n i k i perfectly. This look is for those bold and dramatic.

One has truly been inspired by all things French. The French etiquette, customs and culture, their wine and their cheese and most importantly - their fashion.

Style is the perfection of a point of view.. R.E
